‘Road Racing’

The Great Brak Grabadoo is a fun race for the whole family, at Great Brak, the Garden Route, on the 31st of December, 2011. It it is the biggest cycle race in the Southern Cape at this time of the year, with on average 1000 participants every year. It is a scenic route through the picturesque area surrounding Great Brak River.

Participants can complete an entry form on gojipr.net and fax it to 086 729 2670, or enter at any Chas Everitt office in George, Greatbrak River, Oudtshoorn or Sedgefield.

Great Brak Grabadoo Event Details:

• Event Date – Saturday, 31 Dec 2011 (9th annual Great Brak Grabadoo).
• Road Runners or Walkers can enter to take part in the 4.8 / 9.6 km route.
• Mountain Bikers can choose 15, 35 and 70km routes.
• Road Bikers can choose between the 20 or 40km routes.
• Each participant receives a medal, South Magazine and Mithcum Product.

Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge 2011 will be held at the Nelson Wine Estate in Wellington, Western Cape, and is a one day road race for fun riders and licensed cyclists. The Engen Dynamic Cycle Challenge 2011 is a provincial Classic cycling event, and will start and finish outside the gate to the Nelson Creek Wine estate.

The Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge will be held on Sunday, 20 November 2011 at the Waterfall Country Estate, which is situated between Woodmead and Midrand, near the Sandton CBD. The distance of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge is 97.4km, and prize money is allocated for different categories. It is a safe race with total road closure.

• Distance of the Momentum 94.7 Cycle Challenge is 97.4km.
• Starting Time – from 05h30 until 09h21, on the R55 before Maxwell Drive in Sunninghill.
• Cost of entry – R241,20 + R33,80 VAT + CSA Rider Levy of R5,00 = Total R280,00.
• Race numbers can be collected from 17 November 2011, at the Expo (Sandton Convention Centre from 17 – 19 November 2011).
• Safe Race – full road closure.
