Clearwater Trails & Cabins was established in 2003 as the Umtamvuna Mountain Bike Trail Network. The Mountain biking trail network has become a popular venue for both leisure and competition. All levels of routes are catered for in terms of distance and technicality. You are first introduced to the tracks through the “figure-8″ pump track which provides a place to warm up, practice your turns and is just plain fun! You can choose to follow one of the three colour codes I.e. GREEN (easy); BLUE (moderate to technical); RED (mod to high technical). Where there is a BLACK DIAMOND, you are cautioned to ride carefully. The Clearwater Trails offer a good mix of hand built single track, jeep track and gravel road with options to remain on moderate gradients or attempt the downhill sections and of course the ascent back onto the ridge. We will assist with basic mechanical issues and quick tune ups to ensure you have an enjoyable ride. Hoses, buckets, soaps and brushes are available for your use to take the dust or mud off after a good day’s ride. Hot showers and flush toilets close to the central building. Grab a cold drink or sweet homemade snack to replenish the energy levels after a day on the trails.
