‘Cycle Race’

The Waterberg Grape Festival Cycle Challenge 2012 will be held on Saturday, 7 January in Modimolle, Limpopo Province, and riders will be required to produce a valid CSA license or proof of provincial affiliation at registration, or purchase an event license.
The Waterberg Druiwefees is a very popular annual event, with the Road Cycle Challenge a highlight on the agenda, with distances of 95km and 42km for the riders, as well as a Kiddies challenge.

The Fountains Cycle Race was formerly known as the Cycle for the Bunnies. The Fountains Cycle Race 2011 was founded in 2001 an takes place each year on Youth Day, 16th June. The race gained its name from all the “fountains” the route follows, namely Vlakfontein, Putfontein, Knoppiesfontein, Zesfontein, Varkfontein, Tweefontein, Bronkhorstfontein, Bapsfontein, Elandsfontein and Hartebeesfontein. The race started in 2001 with only 127 cyclists, and has steadily increased each year to 651 cyclists in 2009.
Race information: Thursday 16 June 2011. Start at 08h00, 96km & 56km. A CSA/CGC sanctioned event. Timed by Spectrum Sport Timing
