Durban Cycles is situated in President Avenue, Sutherland. Durban Cycles cater to both the road and mountain bike markets. We provide excellent quality repairs at a reasonable price, coupled with great service and honest advice. We have over forty years of experience. Whether it be proper fit up to your new carbon road bike or a perfectly set up duallie, come and see us. I’m sure you won’t be disappointed. We carry a huge range of bikes in store which are assembled / built to an exacting standard.

Durban Cycles are also able to offer a huge range of 2011 Giant bicycles at an unprecedented low price. We currently hold over 350 of the best selling Giant bikes at discounts ranging from 1% to 25% off the rrp. We have been able to source hundreds of popular leather MTB saddles which we can sell at ridiculous prices, well below cost price. You can now own a Tioga or Velo leather saddle cheaper than what it would cost a bicycle shop to pay a wholesaler. We have also bought the last remaining Shimano Shoe Bags which are of a heavenly quality and are able to offer those at what it would cost you to purchase a couple of cheap tubes. Once these items get sold we will not be able to re-offer them.

Servicing of road bikes and hard tail mountain bikes includes in brief tightening cones, checking rim tapes, truing wheels on a truing stand, tightening of bottom bracket, chainring bolts, pedals, crankarms, headset, handlebar fixtures, jockey wheels, derailleurs, saddle, etc. Adjustment of gears and brakes. Cleaning of rim sidewalls with alcohol and cleaning of brake calipers / derailleurs. Approximate time (one-one and a half hours).

Servicing of duallies includes cleaning of all pivots, tightening same pivots and shock mounts. If loose they are removed and re-fitted using low grade loctite # 222.
