Staalwater MTB Challenge will start on Saturday, 10 September 2011 at the Caledon Casino, Overberg, Western Cape, with 3 route options for beginners up to fit riders. Staal water (Steel/Iron Water) refers to the hot springs at the start location, and mountain bikers can enjoy these mineral-rich waters after taking part in the event. The 15km Route is flat, and perfect for kids, beginners and families who want to enjoy a beautiful spring day.

- Venue – The Caledon Casino, Hotel & Spa, Caledon, Overberg, Western Cape.
- Date – Saturday, 10 September 2011 to Monday, 12 September 2011.
- 3 Route Options.
- Distances – 60km, 30km & 15km Start times: 09h00 (60km), 09h15 (30km), 09h30 (15km).
- Lucky Draw and Entertainment at the casino after the race.
- Entries open 1 August and pre-entries close on Monday 05 September.
