The 2010 Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna cycle tour events. Mountain Bike Events on Saturday 3 July 2010. Enter before 21 June 2010 to avoid the R60 late entry fee. START at the Knysna High School from 08h00. PRIZE GIVING for the Mountain Bike Events to be announced. Medals will be given to all finishers who finish within the cut off time. The 85km mountain bike route will have a cut off time of 7 hours. Although there are not many thorns, there are rocks on the mountain bike routes. There will be vehicles at most marshal points. If you break down, push or carry your bike to the nearest point for a lift back to town after the race.
- NO HELMET NO RIDE.
- Keep to the left of the road, especially on gravel roads.
- Marshals and first aid officials will withdraw at 15h00 on all routes except the 85km mountain bike where they will withdraw at 15h30
The Rotary Club of Knysna uses the funds raised by this event to support a wide variety of people in the Southern Cape. The Dorothy Broster Children’s Home, Serenity Rehabilitation Centre, Epilepsy South Africa and the Sea Cadets are a few of the organizations that have benefited from the proceeds of the Pick n Pay Weekend Argus Rotary Knysna Cycle Tour.
