MTN is a major sponsor of cycling in South Africa, and very involved in amateur and professional cycling, which include BMX, road cycling and mountain biking. MTN helps to grow the sport throughout South Africa, and have their own road cycling team, MTN Qhubeka (formerly MTN Energade).

The MTN Panorama Tour is a 4 stage race for the intermediate rider, and will be held at the Casterbridge Lifestyle Centre outside White River, in Mpumalanga. The first three stages of this event are 100km per day outrides, and the fourth a short time trial.
