The OFM Cycle Classic has been the premier cycling challenge in central South Africa for more than 10 years, and MTN has been the proud title sponsor for 2 years. MTN has it’s own cycle team — Team MTN Qhubeka (formerly MTN Energade), and helps to grow the sport across the country by sponsoring various cycling events.
The MTN OFM Cycle Classic is an official seeding event for the Cape Argus Pick n Pay Cycle Tour, which comprises of the Main Road Race, a Kiddies Classic Race held on Saturday, 30 October 2011, the MTN OFM Classic MTB Race on Friday, 5 November 2011, and a 39km Fun Ride held at the same time as the Main Race.
